Lobby-watchdogs LobbyControl (Germany) and Corporate Europe
Observatory (Brussels) invite you to a joint guided ‘lobby tour’ of the
Brussels EU quarter with a focus on the ongoing EU-US trade
negotiations.

practical info:

Meeting point: Brussels, Rond Point Schumann.
Date: Wednesday, July 16, 2014.
Time: 9:00 a.m.

*********************************************************************

During the tour, we will show concrete examples of how the
biggest business lobbies have and are influencing the Transatlantic
Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) negotiations, and what their
preferred model of trade between the two blocs look like, with a focus
on investors' rights (ISDS) and on so-called “regulatory cooperation”.

The guides will take you to five key locations significant to the TTIP
negotiations, taking in the EU Trade Commissioner and four corporate
lobbies. They will show how corporate lobby groups are seeking to land
an agreement that will not only be in their interest, but will provide
them with important tools to strengthen their positions in the future,
allowing them in practice to co-write legislation.
